Lightweight Prayer Times · Effective 2 October 2026

Summary

Lightweight Prayer Times does not collect, store on our servers, sell or share any personal data. There are no ads, no analytics, no accounts and no third-party SDKs. The app does not have the Android INTERNET permission.

Location

To calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction the app uses your location: either your device's location (if you tap GPS and allow it) or a city/coordinates you type. The location is processed only on your device and saved only in the app's private storage. We never receive it.

City lookup

Turning a city name into coordinates (and coordinates into a city name) is done by the Android system geocoder on your device. Depending on your device, this service (for example Google Play services) may send the query to its provider. That is governed by the provider's own privacy policy, not by us.

Notifications

Prayer notifications are optional and off by default. They are scheduled locally on your device. If you enable them on Android 13+, the app asks for the notification permission.

Settings and backups

Your settings (calculation method, location, appearance) are stored on your device. If you use Android's backup, the system may include these settings in your own Google backup; we have no access to it.

Children

The app contains no ads or user-generated content and is suitable for all ages.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
